Blazers decline council invite as arena funding talks stall
Portland City Council president Jamie Dunphy wrote to Trail Blazers business-operations chief Dewayne Hankins asking the franchise to attend a council work session on Thursday. The Blazers replied that they would not be represented at the meeting and have not provided the documentation the council requested. The session was intended to clarify the team’s concerns ahead of the upcoming vote on a 20-year lease for the Moda Center.
